Our Flora and Fauna

Our Waterfurlong gardens are rich in flora and fauna - much of it, such as Bullfinches, woodpeckers and Speckled Wood Butterflies, associated with traditional orchards. In this section we profile some of the more unusual species.

We also have many bulbs, garden shrubs, climbers and ornamental trees, including a magnificent row of red Horse-Chestnuts.

We enjoy regular visits from the Red Kites that wheel overhead, the geese returning in September from northern climes to overwinter at The Wash and the (somewhat less welcome) Muntjac Deer that love our produce.
