Graham has been working his plot since 1999 - the same garden that has been in his family for three generations, since his grandfather Alf took it on in 1948. Graham and his wife Suzanne are passionate about being self-sufficient in organic produce, growing 200 pea plants alone in a typical year!
Karen & Julia
Karen and her daughter, Julia, have had their plot since 2016 and it's very much a work in progress. They're known for their love of dungarees and other clothing reminiscent of WWII Land Girls (Julia claims this is 'allotment chic'!?). Karen can't remember a time she didn't love gardening and whilst Julia showed not one glimmer of interest when she was younger, there's none so righteous as the newly converted!

Jo, Jude & Flora
George is another gardener whose plot has been in his family for three generations. A knowledgeable botanist, he and his wife Lesley enjoy growing rarities, both decorative and edible.
Jo, Jude & Flora
Jo, husband Rob, and their children Jude and Flora, have had their garden since 2015. It's an idyllic place for the kids and perfect for Rob to construct his bar. Keen organic gardeners, they share the plot with a fluctuating population of hens, many of whom (Tikka, Bhuna) have had the dubious honour of being named after curries!
Helena has been lovingly tending her garden for more than 20 years and shares it with her canine friends and 'helpers', Murphy and Merlin. She is also fairy godmother to our mousers. Never defeated by a challenge, only this winter Helena managed to dig an ancient car chassis out of the hedge surrounding her plot!
Alex, doug & andrea
Liz shares her plot with husband James, friend Debbie and seven other gardening comrades! As busy professionals, the arrangement works well for the whole gang and Liz can often be spotted heading over for the odd hour's digging on her splendid 'sit-up-and-beg' bike.
Alex, Doug & Andrea
Keen conservationists Andrea and Alex have had their plot since 2013 and were joined by Doug in 2017. Andrea says "At the time of applying we could only dream of a large, private garden in central Stamford." With a lot of hard work they have created a great organic veg plot and a wildlife haven.
Debbie has been gardening her plot along with a group of friends for more than a decade. Here she's enjoying a moment's relaxation with her gorgeous golden doodle, Piper.

Jean-Jacques and Anne
Jean-Jacques and Anne have been gardening their plot with friend Soraya for fifteen years and particularly enjoy growing fruit and veg.
Craig has had his Waterfurlong plot since 2016 and enjoys relaxing there when he's not engrossed in his work as a horologist.

Newly-retired Bruce and Keith took on their plot in 2018 and have exciting plans for growing produce and dahlias and eventually keeping bees and hens.
